Every month during my period I have real bad cramps. Like so bad that for the first day or two I can't even get out of bed. Is anyone else like that? If so do you know if there is anything I can do, besides use Midol or a heating pad to relieve some of the cramping?

Sometimes this is just normal, but it 'might' indicate a ovarian cyst or something. I think you should talk to your doctor about it.

When I first started having my periods when I was like 11 years old I had horrible cramps like you. I would actually cry for like about 3 days straight for eight years. But all that change when I eliminated junk food out of my diet. I 've been excercising for over six months and I haven't had cramps since. I can't even tell when my period is about to come on. Try eliminating junk foods, and eating really small healthy portions of food through out the day. Well I would recommend that you see a doctor first to make sure you are not suffering from a serious condition.... Eating healthy and excercising will make a big difference .

They make heat patches now, that you can wear for that. Look in the pharmacy. Also, eating chocolate and drinking a lot of caffiene will make them worse. Birth control pills sometimes lessen the blood flow and cramps.

I get that too......I havent used anything as yet that works to the extent that i dont feel uncomfortable.....but what i do sometimes is that when i feel my period coming on....i load myself up with painkillers so that the pain is not so bad...and when the period is actually visable...keep the painkillers flowing for about 2 days...

i dont know how healthy that is, but it is sometimes all i can do..

if the pain is really bothersome.....some women go on the pill

my best advise is to talk to ur gp

You probably want to call your doctor and he can put you on birth control as a perscription. Birth control pills will help with the cramping and not make your period so horrible. You don't have to live in pain, just ask your doctor for help!

Yeah, I am the same way. Lately it has been getting worse and worse, so I am going to the doctor to find out what is wrong. You might want to consider going too. It could be is a hormonal imbalance, a disease, or maybe just stress. But you should get it checked out. Good luck!
