Using windows explorer (Windows-key E) select the files you want to move, then right click on the selected files and choose 'cut'. Open D: drive to the folder where you want the files to go. in the right-hand pane, right-click and choose 'paste'. The files will be moved from C: to D:

There are other methods, but from what I can understanding you have of Windows that I can gleen from your question, this may be the simplest, if the more time-wasting.

Go to My Computer and open C & D drives make them into a managable sized windows. Then "Drag and Drop" the files from the C drive window to the D drive window. It's that simple!

High light the item then right click, from there you will see "send to" click this you will see D: drive click and that should work.
