Be nicer to mom than that. Put her in one of those suites on Perrin Beitel or Fredricksburg. They go for $199 a week. If she is going to stay that long. Otherwise, motel 8 and motel 6 and red roof inn are nice and not too expensive.

You didnt mention when she's coming or for how long. Those minor issues aside, there are plenty of inexpensive motels/hotels in the San Antonio area(I am Owner of a Travel Agency so I have exclusive access). Examples--
1-RED ROOF INN, SAN ANTONIO AIRPORT. I can get you a special unpublished rate of $47.99/night guaranteed.
2- BEST VALUE INN SEGUIN, SAN ANTONIO. Unpublished guaranteed rate of $50.00/night

We stayed the night in San Antonio on June 17 at Americas Best Value Inn 1250 Austin Highway. We got "Best Buy" rates on AOL Travel for $50/night. With taxes it cost $59.69. The rooms were clean, but sparsely furnished, adequate for sleeping, which is all we did there.
