It's not quite that simple, it has to do with psychology and subconcious tendencies toward self-preservation. Basically as a hypothetical situation let's say your house is broken into by some deranged lunatic (at least you think he is at the time), now lets say that you had no choice but to kill that person to save your family. This is one place where it can begin, some people will look upon you as a hero, others will despise you for killing another human being, and still others will be jealous. This is basically the way the world is. Communism is a utopia on paper, but in real life it doesn't work.
One person will want what you have, and will do anything they can to acquire what it is you have. In a similar, but different situation, some people are born with natural tendencies towards violence, hatred, and self-destruction. This coupled with how people are raised and what they expierience in life is what shapes them to fit into a specific area in a cultures sociological painting of morality. Right and wrong are subjective, personally I think people that survive (no matter what the means) are the ones most worthy of living.
Basically much of this lies in one emotion present in everyone, fear. Fear can be caused by many factors. Things that are not understood as well as things that pose a threat cause fear. People with fear will either join the cause, flee from it, or try to destroy it. Thus one bad egg can make the rest of the dozen rot.
Now multiply this behavior over generations and you can realize that this has pretty much been ongoing since the concept of materialism. Unless you are going to give up your internet, ipod, and Porsche and live off the land wearing a loincloth and dying by the time your thirty the world isn't going to be a much better place. Human nature is a cruel beast, and human beings themselves are concerned only with themselves.

Sad thing you are right. If everyone took the time to care and share maybe things would get better. I have noticed values in the children are not what they used to be. I'm 51 and we were taught to respect our elders. Now they try to run over their elders or rob them. The parents now a days give the kids money to get them out of their hair. Our government promotes war and our kids are getting killed. I feel this way I am going to be the best I can be and I have in-stowed this in my children. They respect and care for others no matter what you look like or your color. So if others would do the same maybe the world can change.

Because people have been raised without any values. They come from unmarried homes or homes where mothers had careers and let others raise them. The lower classes breed like animals and they have no skills to earn good money to begin with and so they think the wealthy own them something. People have no regard for rules or anything anymore. It mostly starts with children who are let do as they please

because we're human and humans are headstrong and vile creatures (not all of them) and they're not willing to say that they're wrong, they'll fight for what they want no matter what, even if people die...
the world is really messed up, i agree. but there are some people out there that are nice.
i've been asking myself the same question lately.....
but remember, people make mistakes because nobodys perfect. we just need to accept them and move on.
i wish that people these days would actually do that...

people have different beliefs, principles, cultures and etc. and even if people have the same belief, same principles and same culture, they still have different understanding, outlook or perception on things, happenings and other people around.
it may be so unreasonable but our differences are the main reasons why there is chaos. when it's gonna stop? when people learn to, if not understand, then at least respect those differences.

thats a perfect description of human nature - its the animal that lives inside of us. There is only one way to tame the beast. Accept Jesus and live for Him He is this World's only hope.

people blame everyone else and fail to take responsibility on thier own actions. we all play into everyone's life whether we see it or not. watch the movie Crash... the way the movie flows explains a lot.
