Your domain name has nothing to do with your hosting service other than it is used to direct someone to your site. It simply makes it easier for people to find your site. You dont need a domain name to have a site.

It means you are moving your domain name, for example www.yourcompany.com, to a new ISP's webserver. First reserve your webspace on the new ISP's webserver, contact the ISP for help with this. Next, contact the registrar (the company you purchased the domain from, godaddy and network solutions are registrars for example) and provide them with the new technical contact infomation and the name server information for your new ISP. After you do that it takes about 24 hours for it to propagate. Go to www.allwhois.com to check to see if it has been completed. When completed then contact your new ISP and have them link your domain to your webspace. You can then upload your HTML content.
