What does this mean and what are my options as far as upgrading my graphics card in either both nVidia and ATI? What should I be looking for?

Also, I see this in my System Information.
Intel(R) 915G/P/GV PCI Express Root Part - 2581
RADEON X300 SERIES
PCI BUS

Well, you have all the information you need righ there. The card you have right now is junk. So, you do have a PCIe slot and your choices are limitless. However, I recommend either the Geforce 7600GS or 7600GT for now... That being said, DirectX 10 cards are due out in September from nVidia and in November from ATi. So, if you want support for DirectX 10 then I think it is best you wait until then to get a new card. But if you have a game you need to play now get a 7600GS but now that you will still have to get a new card later this year to support DirectX 10. Current cards only support up to DirectX 9. It's probably the worst time to upgrade unless you NEED to.

It means you have an ATi Radeon X300. That video card seems to be PCI-Express. I'm pretty sure you can get any video card that's PCI-Express. I'd suggest that you upgrade to a video card with SM 3.0. The GeForce 6xxx & 7xxx series support it. I'm pretty sure Radeon X1xxx support it too.
