I heard a while ago about a series that will launch on the Sci-Fi network featuring Star Wars characters. Does anyone know when this will go on the air and what the storylines will be?

The Star Wars live-action TV series is a science fiction television series currently set to debut in 2008, and will be an Expanded Universe production set in the fictional Star Wars galaxy. The project, which has yet to be given an official title, was first announced in April 2005 by Star Wars creator George Lucas at the "Celebration III" fan convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.[1]

According to official reports, the series will be set during the 19-year timespan between the films Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. It will focus primarily on minor characters of the Star Wars galaxy, rather than the main ones seen prominently in the films. These minor characters will be both from the films and the Expanded Universe. However, Lucas has stated that some of the main characters may make cameo appearances. Rick McCallum has commented that Lucas "envisions somewhere like 100 hours between Episode III and Episode IV", which implies that the hour-long series will run for several years.

star Wars is extra helpful, in my opinion, by way of fact it touches upon eternal themes in an up-to-the-minute placing yet nonetheless keeps the feel of the classic. star Trek is a lot extra present day and deals with present day themes, yet as a effect isn't a mythology for our time, handling the customary. the two star Trek and star Wars are choppy in high quality, even with the incontrovertible fact that.
