Sorry it was 1927 Pirates against the Yankees World Series. They played for about 14 seasons. They were known as "Big Poison" and "Little Poison". They are both in the Hall of Fame.

Pittsburgh didn't play in the 1918 World Series, that was the Cubs against the Red Sox. But the two brothers you are probably thinking of are the Waner brothers, Paul and Lloyd both of whom are in Baseball's Hall of Fame. Their nicknames were Big Poison (Paul) and Little Poison (Lloyd). The World Series you are probably thinking of is the 1927 World Series.
