There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

It's hard to explain true love or soul mate. The only way I can really do it is to compare my fiance with my ex husband.
I was with my ex for 20 years. The whole time (as I found out when we got divorced) he cheated on me, lied to me, and used drugs--even though he said he wasn't doing any of it. He also verbally/mentally abused me the whole time. If someone really loves you, respects you and themselves, etc, then they won't do this.
My fiance, on the other hand, has never abused me and doesn't believe in abuse, lying, cheating, or using drugs of any sort. He loves, respects, and cherishes me at all times. He has me on a pedestal and treats me like a God, like I do him. We communicate about anything and everything, small or large. We have very few differences, and the few things that we don't have in common make the relationship very interesting and fun. We joke with each other, and others, a lot, but we also know how and when to be serious.
I believe that a true love, a soul mate, will love, cherish, and respect you, treat you with kindness at all times, and will communicate with you about everything. They will also accept all of your little faults and you will theirs too. This is what my faince are like. It is an awesome and fulfilling feeling to be in a true love relationship.

True Love.....I think true love is something that only the two who are in love really know."hope that made sence lol" I know that the love between my husband and I is very true. We met in a club, and just a month later we were married. Now it has been 2 years, and we have a beautiful lil boy together. He is in the army, and in iraq.....and I can say that having true love, makes it like he never left. My husband is my TRUE LOVE, and he is also my hero and bestfriend.

True love is a feeling that you cannot describe. You feel happy, sad all mixed together. When you do fall in love with someone. You'll know wat true love really means though. A Mixed Emotion.
