LOL you must be straight.

Edit:
Honey the reason we all know you are straight is because only the straight are arrogant enough to think that we chose this. God made us this way. I knew from the time I was 5. Most of us know from the moment we are sexually aware that we are different from our friends in our desires. We are attracted to our own gender. Or in my case both, being bisexual is both a curse and a blessing. The blessing is that I can pass as hetero, the curse is that I am not accepted fully by either gay or straight.

Science does not know all the answers and we are only starting to understand DNA so maybe people are born gay. Some people are born with no sex,,some are born with both which make the doctors job even harder. He has to decide if the child should be a boy or a girl. Doctors would make this decision at birth back in the day, now they wait to see how the child acts before doing this surgery. I suppose during puberty is when people feel stronger about male or female relationships. And from everything I've read on the subject, I have not found one bit of evidence that we are born Gay. So far...it is just a matter of preference.

Ha... ha.. ha... when did we think we were born gay???? we didn't THINK we were born gay we were.

When did you think you were born straight? when did you make the choice to be straight? Which mean's you had a choice to be gay but choose to be straight... is this what you are implying? this could also imply that any straight person may choose to be gay in the future....

Sorry, I don't mean to be sarcastic or anything, but this question has been asked just one too many times, and it is beginning to get to me.

Anyway maybe the links below would help you understand.

I really don't know. I'll leave the debate to more qualified minds (scientists, anthropologists, genealogists). The thing I wonder about is why does it matter?

If it's just a matter of personal choice, so what. Make your choice then. If it's a matter of upbringing, then choice isn't in the equation. You're stuck with it. But once again, so what. If it's genetic, of course there's no choice involved. You're just gay from the start. Once again,so what.

It's amazing how many people concern themselves with business that they have no business being concerned about (say it 5x's fast). As long as no one gets hurt. Live and let live.

I wonder how many Bible quotes you're going to get on this one?

Some people choose to be gay, sure. But I can see how someone would feel they were born that way. If its something that they have felt their entire life then its not a choice. They just made the choice to come out about it. And hopefully society can grow up and learn to accept people....By the way Randy W, lol.

Anti-Gay Christians are terrified that some day we may find out with scientific certainty that that some people are born gay. That would mean that God made them that way, and that they have no control over it, like race.

This terrifies them because then they might have to stop hating gay people and stop teaching their children to hate gay people.

Also, christians don't like to be known as "hating" anyone because it goes against the bible, so they found a loophole! When they teach this hatred they use a code phrase "love the sinner but hate the sin."

It's an awesome loophole, it lets them beat their children (also in the bible) and kick them out onto the street but still say they love them!

To answer your question though, every gay person on earth pratically says they were born that way. There are huge negative consequences to being gay, Why in the hell would they all be lying?

Your question should be, "Why do some people think you are born straight?" There are studies about this. They prove that you are born lesbian, gay, straight, or bi. But you don't really need those studies. Ask the people, they know the truth.

Has anybody ever asked you the "born straight" question? What would your answer be? Why?

Why do you think you were born straight? If it's such a choice, you could just as easily choose to be gay, right?

Or it's just that you were born one way, and you won't believe anyone else can know their own sexuality? That's rather patronizing, don't you think?

because some people are born are indeed born that way. if you want a bible explanation you can go to matthew 19 and discover that some eunuchs are born that way and some are made that way by men. if you search history eunuch doesn't necessarily mean castrated or disfigured. it can also mean effeminate males or males who don't have an attraction to women.
here's one of many sites that explains what a eunuch is.

if you think it is a choice to be who you are, then may i ask you, were you born heterosexual or did you choose it?

Why would people choose to be gay when they're so ostracised by society and not given basic rights like superannuation and not allowed to marry (in most countries) etc. I like black guys. I don't think I chose to, being that there are hardly any black guys in this country, it's just how I am. People are born how they're born, so live and let live.
