1. Google is NOT a browser. It's a search engine.
2. for PC Modzilla Firefox 1.5+ is the top.

Though Firefox HAS (note the emphasis on the tense) had security issues in the past, they are fixed. My friend who is a contractor for MS worked for a bank and they bank uses Firefox. I can't disclose the bank for purposes you can guess. I also have a buddy in the marines who informs me that the military uses Firefox for browsing and NOT MS IE!

Netscape is a disaster. I don't need to say any more

Microsoft used the functions from Firefox and called IE 7 new when the kind of features they added were part of Firefox from the beginning. Also IE has more security issues and always will.

Go Firefox. I recommend it to all the people I work for and anyone I work on their computers.

Your other option is Opera and that's another journey.

I like Firefox for security and customizability. I have had a lot less problems with spyware and malware ever since I switched my email client to Thunderbird and my browser to Firefox. Plus, since I am an internet poweruser, firefox has little addins called extensions that allow me to check my gmail, webmail while browsing, block ads, integration with stumbleupon and deli.cio.us, use firefox as an RSS reader and loads of other things.

If you aren't as much a poweruser, and just want safety and speed, I'd recommend Opera. It is extremely easy to use, very fast and doesn't skimp on the features.

I heard that IE send your info to I don't know who, so i decided to try other browsers like netscape, Mozilla and fireFox. Unfortunately ALL webpages are made for IE, so some features don't weork properly in those browsers.
I recently downloaded IE7 (beta), and I am beginning to like it. It is a big change, so it might take some time to get used to it.
So, after all, IE is still the best.

the three big ones IE, mozilla, and opera IE has the active X ability that is needed on some websites, but since it is the most widely used flaws are exploited, mozilla is good but now that it is popular flaws are appearing also. Common sense downloading is the best browser if you download questionable files you open yourself up for viruses

I like Firefox because it lets you open new tabs, so all of your pages are contained in one window. Makes it a lot easier to view multiple pages. Plus they have a pretty good pop-up blocker (though I suppose almost all of them do nowadays).

Oh, and Yahoo! and Google are search engines, not browsers.

I don't really know which is the best; however, I use Firefox regularly, Internet Explorer occasionally and Opera when these two are unable to access a site.

Internet Explorer 6.0 and earlier versions are more than 5 years old. I recommend that you download Firefox and enjoy a much better and faster web experience.

If you are in Apple's Mac OS X (10) It's Safari without comparison. If you are using a PC, Mozilla Firefox.
