Wilt
Russell
Abdul-Jabbar
Shaq

In that order.

There probably were not as many 7 footers in the NBA when Wilt played (although Jabbar himself was one), but that doesn't mean anything...there are a bunch of 7 footers today who don't know the first thing about how to play basketball... Bill Wennington and Bill Cartwright were 7 footers... big deal... they sucked...Ilgauskas... sucks... Yao....sucks...

And while there weren't a lot of 7 footers, there were plenty of 6-10 and 6-11 guys that were highly skilled...

Wilt still owns the record books. He is the most dominant player (on both ends of the floor) ever to play the game. He was stronger than Shaq, a far better leaper, and much more schooled in the fundamentals...

Chamberlain actually had the highest vertical jump of any player in NBA history, about 60 inches in his prime... there's a famous photo of him at a track meet jumping straight up in the air, and he's about 54 inches off the ground in that photo... he was coming down...

The most dominant was probably Wilt Chamberlain. Then, maybe Shaquille O'Neal. If you take dominant to mean the most physically imposing. If you mean the best big man of all time, then that would probably be Hakeem Olajuwon or Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

Wilt then Bill Russell. Shaq had NBA change rules cause dumbass couldn't make a free throw, He travels, fouls, bulldozes and 3 seconds in the lane more than anyone in history but no calls. Just an overweight ***** that can't do anything else and the NBA wonders why most people don't tune in. Duh

Wilt Chamberlain. At the time he was playing, there were no other 7-foot guys in the NBA. No one could guard him or shoot over him.

Wilt "The Stilt" was and still is the man!

Gotta give this one to Shaq. He is unstoppable. Multiple championships and at least one each with different franchises. Compare the Lakers with and without Shaq. They're not contenders without him.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Until somebody surpasses his points scored, he's the man.
