Thousands. I don't even know how many books I currently own, let alone how many I've owned, checked out from a library or borrowed from a friend over my lifetime.

Why? Because reading is almost as good as it gets. You get to travel anywhere and hang out with anybody all in the comfort and privacy of your own mind.

I have read a lot of books to many to count. I choose the books that I read for various reason one the plot line of the book caught my eye and I wanted to read the book. Another reason why I would read a certain book is because a movie was based on it and if I like the movie I want to read the book to see if the book was any better than the movie.

I read about 1 book every two - three weeks. I read constantly newspapers, magazines, textbooks, etc. There is a lot to know and learn. Keeping current in your field is extremely important both in terms of your personal knowledge and in job growth and promotion.

How MANY? We were supposed to be counting? I can't even guess a number for this year alone, and we're only half through it!

Darlin, you need a hobby. I suggest reading books.

I would guess thousands because I truly love to read. I don't get to as much as I'd like to these days. I usually buy quite a few and store them until I have time to indulge.
