After all the knowledge of how dangerous and harmful it is WHY do people still try crystal meth?

Though still stupid you can somewhat forgive the 60's generation for all drugs they did because the information they had was vague and limited but todays generation has no excuse. It's a well known, publically advertised fact how harmful and dangerous crystal meth, crack, cocaine and other illegal narcotic drugs are. Still we have a problem.

With meth, most people start it because they are able to stay up for days and get huge amounts of things done or party. They think they can control the addiction. Also for men supposedly it is like viagra x 1000.

I think those are the biggest two reasons why people start.

I've worked with alot of people who have used or are using meth. It really is nasty stuff, and I've seen it do amazing damage to people. From what I've been able to gather from these people, often it's money. Alot of people will get wound up in this stuff, go till they hit rock bottom, and then quit, or die. Others go down a worse path. They start using, find a source and start selling it. They are then able to pay for their habit and able to do serious damage to themselves and their family. Like I said, I've worked with a number of people who have had worse then brushes with these drugs. I would NEVER try them, I've seen what they can do. I really don't see why the local, state, or federal government cannot line out sessions for first offenders to spend some time with deep down hard core repeat offenders to SEE how they ended up. It's pretty horrible. The oilfield is pretty much rampent with meth use.

I believe its a curse. The Bible says that the sins of the parents will visit the children to the third and forth generation. What the parents allow in moderation, the children will allow in excess. That is a serious statement. Everyone I know who has children that have gotten into bad trouble with drugs either smoked a little pot or fooled around with pills some. I have watched it on both sides of my family. It is a horror what it does to families with young girls.
Only those I know who raise their children in church and keep them active there, or who decide who their children can and can not play with have survived this. Parents have to take an active role in this. There is no easy way out.

Peer pressure causes people to try the drug, someone offers it and people take it. The problem with crystal meth is that one can become addicted with one dose. What the world does not realise is that our enemy is not flesh and blood, but spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. We are commended to put on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil comes we may be able to stand our ground.

I'm going to agree with stupidity. Stupidity to fall for peer pressure, stupidity to think we are immortal, stupidity to think that no one cares about what we do to our bodies, stupidity to look for something so harmful to dull problems in our lives. I don't know about using crystal meth, but I know that being around people on crystal meth is at the bottom of my list of fun things to do.

sometimes its fun to get by with doing something illegal.starts with smoking then continues with beer,wine mixed drinks. drugs then usually jail ,prison.then the fun changes to grief,for yourself as well as family

Because general society is full of white trash, black track, mexican trash, indian trash, asian trash...and until all trash is educated and ignorance is obliterated....there will be drugs, crime, homeless,etc.etc.etc.
