When you are doing it for you and not cause some idiot wants you to. When you can honestly say you won't look back on it and regret the first person you slept with.

15 with protection, though it should be with a similarly young. Nature says it is OK to have sex at ~13. Only difference I've experienced between those who started early at having sex and those who started late, was that the quick starters seemed more mature and in-control of themselves.

[edit]: Note that sex isn't a big, dreadful thing to be feared. Nor is it a miracle that will change your life forever. It is just, plain nice. Some times it will be bad, some times it will be good, but it'll never hurt you if you agree to everything that happens (and remember protection).

hard to say, but definitely not younger than 18. My gut tells me 20, but I cant say that I would have waited that long when I was that age, and that would make me a hypocrite in saying so.
bottom line, if your not ready, then dont let anyone pressure into having sex, no matter what they say. Sex is NOT fun when you are not sure about having it. It will be much much better when a person is confident that they want to have it.

If you're asking this question, you aren't ready. It isn't a matter of age but rather maturity. Are you in a mature long term relationship? I suggest waiting till after high school. Remember your virginity can only be given away once. It truly is a precious gift. Honestly, if I had it to do over again, I would wait for marriage!
