I'm not sure if this fits what you're looking for, but the Baby Yoda sweater from Dogs Steal Yarn is a free pattern you may want to check out:

A simple, quick-to-knit wrap sweater for newborn to six months.
The wrap style allows for flexibility in fit, so you get longer use out of it, and is easy to get on and off the squirmy little kid. Knit in a soft, machine washable yarn of 100% cotton. (Young Jedis prefer natural fibers, you know. Acrylic interferes with The Force.) The front edges and neck are allowed to softly roll for an unconstructed, laid-back-baby look.
