Say Tyson is fighting Holyfield, everyone else that fights in the "little" fights before the main event is considered the "undercard". I've never actually heard it in basketball...maybe you mean underdog? Underdog is the one everyone expects to lose.

In boxing they are boxers who will fight before the main event.
