I am gonna go with The Stand. It was a long and epic journey to complete that book. It is the longest book I have ever read. Than they made the miniseries and I was glued to the tv for a week. I also like Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile as movies but never read the novels. I still haven't finished the Dark Tower series. Got half way through Wolves of the Calla and had to return the library book. They wouldn't let me recheck it out because there was a line waiting for it. Haven't got around to finishing it yet.

There have only been a few Stephen King movies ive liked
Shashank Redemption
The Shining
Stand by Me
THE other movies such as IT, CHRISTINE, THE STAND, TOMMYKNOCKERS
Sometimes They come back and the rest do not hold a candle to the movies. If you read It and then watch the movie you be wondering what the director was smoking, lol

IT was his best book, even though it was really long. But I think Salem's Lot and Desperation are close behind.

*I have only seen one of his movies--Carrie
*I have seen clips of IT though.

I have read Christine, The Shining,[overrated in my opinion], Carrie, IT, Desperation, Firestarter, Salem's Lot, and am just finishing Pet Sematary.

One movie that was worth a sh*t was The Shining, his books are great, the movies usually s*ck. Books in my opinion are always better than the movies.
