I have a 1973 Fender Stratocaster. Anyway Fender Stratocasters, Fender Telecasters, Fender Precision or Jazz basses, Gibson Les Pauls, Gibson ES-335, Gibson SGs. These are all more in demand and are more the classic guitars and will command much more value.
Condition is a major factor. My Strat is kind of beat up looking. The neck is kind of "scalloped" from finger pressure and the finger acids. Is yours in good condition? You could maybe sell it on EBay. I don't know how to do that.
Good luck!

Where are you? In Europe it might fetch €600 to €1200 depending on condition, in the US, you could get $700 or $800 maybe. But why sell it? You'll only regret it down the road. If you need the money, find it somewhere else. Really.
