My notebook hav no problem connecting to the internet when connect to the LAN. But once I connect via wifi, I just can't browse... yet I can still use my IM to chat. Can anyone help shed some light as what I should be looking for to rectify this problem?

create a new conexion and select to use the wireless adapter in your laptop.

Is your WiFi encrypted? If so make sure you have the proper key input into you network settings. Your im may work even though your network is encrypted. Some peripherals will bypass the encryption. If you are not encrypted, you need to check your browsers settings as well as your network settings to make sure you have all the necessary options selected to allow you to connect via WiFi.

did you close all your open IE windows after you switched? i've noticed that sometimes it has problems connecting when you change connections. also you could try doing the connection wizzard again in wifi mode.
