hippies believed in being natural. they were a type of rebel to society and they were non conformists. so they would wear natural fibers like cotton, grow their hair long and wild, make much of their clothing and grow their own food. they also believed in eastern culture as well as an alternative to american living. so hippies may smell because they believed in being natural. please don't judge people with these beliefs, they changed soceity for the better many years ago. and how do u know they smell? something u heard? do a little research.....

the pot. and they're so stoned they can't pay attention to their personal hygeine. but, not all hippies stink. just most of them. don't stereotype. lol.
