You are really just fine. A lot of woman don't have regular periods. This can be biological, or your diet, exercise, or stress level. There are a few things that this can mean.

1) You aren't getting proper nutrition.

2) You are getting proper rest.

3) You are stressed about something.

4) You are very athletic - in this case this is healthy and natural.

5) You may have trouble trying to conceive when you are older, married, and trying to start a family (Only because your ovulation will be hard to pin point)

If you are really worried, go to the doctor. But trust me - you are fine. I'm 22, married, and I haven't had a period in 3 year. And I'm not pregnant! In elementary & middle school my period wasn't very regular either.

Just think of it as a good thing because you don't have to wear nasty pads and deal with the cramps and mess like everyone else.

Have a great day!

No not really ? But most ladies do go through that all the time. The best thing to do is maybe see the doctor for help if you think there is something wrong. I just had a baby last year, and after i had him neva saw my period for almost a year, i thought something was wrong with my system but the doctor said that almost all ladies go through the frase of not getting your period for almost 5/6 maybe even more months. So i actually think that not getting your period for so much months isnt really bad at all. I hope you find the best solution.....good luck

If you really are a virgin, you should be seeing a doctor and discussing your lack of periods. There could be problems related to your health, if you have been dieting/anorexic/bullemic or you are an athlete you might be missing periods. If that isn't the case you still better go because you may be risking any chance of having children later on in life if you don't take care of this problem NOW.

If you ever had started period before your period stopped for 8 months without pregnentcy. I sure think it's not a really good thing. You might want to think of seeing a Dr to find out what is up with that. It could be worse if you let it go for longer of time.

Naturally, ladies whoes reproductive organs become mature are supposed to have period over a 28-day-circle round. It's a natural way of our bodies to balance our hormones, blood cycling and the most important is to reproduct the new individual living thing..having a baby.

If you are looking for something that helps with blood building you can make sure of your good diet habit, take multivitamin wouldn't hurt. Good herb like Dong Gui, Horsetail, Maca, Black Cohosh, Black Hawthron, Burdock, Nettle and Schisandra. Those helps with hormone balancing. Iron is a key to increase your red blood cells, too.
Another nice thing to try is GLA-from borage oil or evening primrose oil.

You're very young, 16 years old. Take advanced of being young and start taking care yourself at this age, you'll see it's worth it to have good habit with health. :) if you are a millionare and have to stay in the hospital all the rest of your life, how can you'll enjoy your life here on earth?
Wish you luck!

It is probably just a difference in hormones. You should keep track of the times you've had you period and for how long, and then go see your doctor. Everyone is different, so don't panic. Also, you should ask family members if they have an irregular period. Just remember, don't panic. I know quite a few people who get their periods anywhere from every six months to only once or twice a year. Goodluck :)

your diet could have alot to do with this. if you don't get enough iron or become anemic, or are just not getting enough of what your body needs, it will sometimes stop the less important functions to save energy for the more important. if you are very active sometime that can make you stop your period as well as being underactive. sometimes your body just decides that it wants to wait a long time before it goes back into the full swing of puberty again. the human body is an amazing thing and sometimes just makes decisions by itself that don't make sense. talk to your docter about it but don't be to surprised if he says that nothings wrong.

That is highly unusual and cause for concern. Stress can stop a period. Also a lot of activity such as sports. Are you an athlete? Either way, go to the doc to find out what's going on.
