On rue de Lausanne (direction the railway station) you can find The Pickwick Pub (English),
Ze do Pipo (Portuguese),
Carnavale di Venezia/Au fin bec,
L’Europa, (Italian),
La Brasserie le Relais (French) and
the Migros “les Cygnes” self service restaurant (cheaper) and many tea rooms/cafés where you can eat small dishes like salads, pastas, quiches and sandwiches...
you can also find Chinese and Thaï restaurants (on Ave. Blanc and rue de Lausanne).
There is a mini market on rue de Lausanne (close to the bus 4 stop) which sells very good paninis, sandwiches and fresh salads.
Bon Apettite!!!!

I used to live in Geneva 5 years ago and I remember some great restaurants in and around Cornavin train station. There are some little eateries there that you can check out and also in Rive, where the shopping areas are, there some great restaurants there too. I forgot the names, it's been a while. How is Geneva by the way?

Try . It's right in the heart of the old town, 8 Place du Bourg-de-Four. It isn't "traditional Swiss" as in fondue and raclette, though. The meals are exquisite and well-priced for Geneva, the wine list is amazing.
It is a little ways from the gare, though - you must cross the bridge to get there, and then walk a little (pass the carousel) But it is very well worth it. They have a website also, www.lesoupcon.ch if you want to see the menu.
