My ethernet cord is connected to the modem and then through the adapter to the pc and it never stays connected long. If it gets a good connection, and the lights are on it will barely move and disconnect. This is my 3rd adapter and the one I have now has already broken where the small plastic cover is ., so I have it taped together, but the tapes starts coming off and I refuse to buy another Linksys. What else works?

What do you have? A Laptop? A Desktop? What?

On a laptop, you would buy a PCCARD (PCMCIA) network adapter. ($15-$40). On a desktop, you would buy a PCI card ($10-$20)
