i want to find out how many shares of stock have been purchased for a specific company. i know there is a website that you can go to to see who bought stock, how many shares, and on what day. i just can't remember what the website is.

You cannot tell who, but you can tell how many traded.

Each trade represents a buy & a sell

On July 3rd, Yahoo traded Volume: 8,067,157 shares.
