Because we don't want to be seen as easy...we want to know that a guy thinks we're special enough to make an extra effort, not just someone to hook up with because he's bored.

I can't speak for all the girls, but when i was younger, I played hard to get because I was afraid of my feelings. Playing hard to get helped me realize them.

because if we dont guys dont hang around long
its the thrill of the chase. if you think that you cant have her, then you are going to keep chasing her (espically if she is flirting with you) but once you have her its not as fun as chasing her. get it?
