Yes, I have heard of people doing that, but both parties must agree and they need to get along well for the sake of the kids and for this to work.

the absent parent will always pay child support. regardless of who has the kids. get sole custody and make him pay you. consider it a$$hole tax. i do. lol. besides, you need to think about the future, and not just in the next year. think about when you child starts school. think about if you meet another person and may want to move out of state. who is going to pay for transportation and such. think about how long you feel your kids can be away from you at any time. until they are 9 they really shouldnt be away from you for more than a week at a time, they are too little and its too tramatic. when they are 13 do u want a clause in your divorce that states your child can refuse to go see the absent parent if they dont wanna go?

these are all things you should think about.
good luck.

time does not equal money in a custody case. the $$ goes to the child's considered residence and expenses therein. If what you say is make the child split the time evenly between residence, Is that in the best interest of the child or the best interest of one billfold. What if your child wants to stay home one week does the other have to pay penalty fees? If both parents choose not to push cs then fine. but never at the child's expense. Put our children first and they will respond accordingly.

Yes but it can very from state to state and from judge to judge, sorry that it is as such. Usually though when both are agreement and the child can speak up as well the judge will agree but many are biased against men especially if the child is under a certain age.

yes. i had a friend who got divorced from her husband. they both continued to live in the same town.they split the cost of daycare, and they alternated weeks with their daughter. she would have her a week, he would have her a week. this process has been working for about 5 years now. neither parent pays child support and they each get equal time with their daughter.

Yes, most of the time. It can usually be worked out out of court. It can depend however on who makes what kind of money. The judge will want even money to be spent on the child, so he may set child support anyway. It may be something you have to work out with your ex. Good Luck and God Bless!
