I like the waltzes.

But! I am so affected by the late Romantics (especially Rimsky-Korsakoff, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff) as well as by what is now called "classical jazz" that, retrospectively, Strauss's music doesn't have enough melodic cleverness or variation to retain my interest.

I actually want to hear jazz fusion versions rather than the original waltzes.

I fidget unless there's a clever melody, I guess.
