I have a male as my best friend and everyone thinks that we are together. I must admit that he likes me but we are just friends. Should we remain as best friends despite the rumors?

it's normal, my best friend is a male. stay friends so you don't complicate things but even if they do for some reason, use your friendship to smoothen things out. as best friends you guys should be able to talk about anything regardless of gender :)

I think you guys should remain friends despite the rumors. Gender does not determine what a good friend is. People need to realize that a best friend can be from the opposite sex. However, people just are so ignorant.

Stay friends. Forget about the rumors. I have a male who I've been best friends with forever. We've been through busted knees, each others breakups, family deaths, and so much more. Those who are starting the rumors are jealous and miserable.

Yeah,I have one.He is very friendly.You should remain best friends.It's better to have friends of different gender.Ignore rumors.Go with your heart.Not what others tell you.

I think it's normal. I don't think you should let other people's assumptions have any effect at all on your friendship. People are always going to assume things, especially if you are really close.

if that's truley what you want than you'll know to do the right thing ( if he's cute take him as best friends 4 life but if his ugly just keep them as a friend!!!)
