"America the Beautiful"...I have a deep and abiding love for my country.ALWAYS have.
"Ashokan Farewell" because it is so beautiful and also because it was used in the Civil War PBS series, tho not written back then . Most people know of my feelings for my great grandfather who served in the Southern forces and was in Pickett's Charge. I am so awed by his place in American history and this song is awe inspiring.
If I may, I've chosen another song....I would like one of the songs that I have written to be a part of the service.
What I want most is for people to tell their stories as they relate to me. I had this at my father's and brother's services. It was funny, happy, and heart warming.

Good question and not an easy one because my life has not been one dimensional. To wit: There is no one song that would pay tribute to everything...
But if I had to choose one...
