Any waste material is a pollutant, and any pollutant will contaminate. The question is, how much contamination can you stand. You breath in air. Your lungs extract a certain amount of oxygen and push out some carbon dioxide as waste. Your question may very well ask if breathing contaminates.
If you fart at an empty beach, does a fart contaminate? How about in a crowded park? A large auditorium. A medium sized living room?. A small bedroom. A bathroom. A clostet. Under a blanket.
At some point, you might decide that a fart does contaminate.

There was a guy who died because he was in a very small room and farted so much. He was gassed.
Two firemen were admitted to hospital after entering the room.
True story!
