Acer LCDs usually have 3 year factory warranties. Of course you won't find that at Best Buy or CompUsa etc... They want to sell you an extended warranty.

There are only 3 major manufacturers of LCD screens nowadays. There are many LCD brands though. The major difference between LCDs now are the plastic cases they are in and the buttons that are on there. Most likely Samsung and LG use the same manufacturer for their screens. I enjoy Acer LCDs. Acer is actually one of the 3 manufacturers that make lcds. That is why they can sell theirs cheaper than others. Asta!

samsung is the sony of korea and lg well almost there but not quite there yet. so yes samsung is better not just in lcd both brands by the way are from south korea

Lg Lcd is much better. The samsung lcd is too big.

I have a Samsung Syncmaster 900P CRT and it is still as good as when I first bought it. Now I have an ACER AL2416W 24" LCD and it is simply amazing.
Yeah, it bit me in the bum for $849.00, but it is worth every freakin' cent.

LG used to be known as goldstar, gold star produced the cheapest chinese bull **** around for a couple years,, LG is a step up,, but not much,, samsng is chinese crap also,,

I've had both brand of phone and I find that Samsung is much better quality.

They both make great monitors...you need to check out the specs.
Samsung Syncmaster is a great monitor, but it depends on what you're looking for, and your price range.
