does anyone know the name of some programs on the computer where you can play with your photos like add a mustache to a pic or add imagages to it? edit it however you want

GIMP is the big Linux one, as powerful as photoshop and many graphic designers prefer it. It's also free:

The best that I know of is free, http://www.gimp.org and a book that I recommend is "Beginning Gimp: From Novice To Professional" (for Gimp version 2.4+) by Akkana Peck, Apress publishing.
OH! Did I mention that it's FREE? hehehe
Also, my single piece of advice for this software: right-click on stuff.
