I have a pair of bondage pants that I wear a lot and everytime I wear them I get strange looks from people.

Simply because they don't understand, it's ignorance. They see your style and they can't connect with it in any way or fashion. That's what causes the puzzled or scared looks on their faces.

Ummm....do you really need an answer to this question?
It should be obvious - whatever "bondage" pants are (I really don't know what you're describing) - are different enough that 1) people notice them and 2) they seem to imply some type of activity not recognized as normal by the majority of society.
The real observation is that clearly, you like the attention or you wouldn't be "wearing them a lot". You ought to fess up you're totally in it to get a reaction from people and stop asking the faux naive question.

I think it's cuz it's out of the ordinary and that ppl hear that only Goths wear bondage pants.I don't care what type of pants you wear,some of my friends wear bondage pants.

My, God. Are those things still around? We used to wear them in the seventies - I guess we were copying the Sex Pistols. Andy Warhol dragged the boys into a sex-fetish shop on King Street, and dressed them up in bondage gear and it kinda caught on. We wore ours a little tighter than you guys wear yours. I have to confess they made it hard to run...and don't get me started on trying to slam with them in the pit (they'd get tangled up in someones boots and instant stomp fest). it wasn't the pants that earned those nervous looks (and we loved making people nervous), it was probably our kool-ade dyed hair (a real beeyatch when it rained) and the safety pins that we pushed through our ears and cheeks (ouch - gotta do it when you're drunk).

i'm a woman. i take advantage of to placed on tripp bondage pants from hottopic. THE mens ones many of the time... i became not obese the two so that they are not in user-friendly terms for larger human beings. && i became kinda what human beings might evaluate goth/scene... that became 6th-9th grade.. I grew out of that degree & now like shiny colorings. placed on what you like...

People are not use to things that they normally don't see, I wear weird things like that as well and I get looks, but I just ignore them. It's not your fault that you want to be different, or either you find your style of dressing to your liking.

Hellllll-looo!!! You only WEAR them becuz you LIKE the strange looks and the comments. It's a subconscious thing. If you disliked the comments and the looks, you wouldn't wear them.
And people give you strange looks because it IS strange to wear "bondage pants" (wtf?). I'm guessing they must be some sort of tight leather with painful-looking zippers or hooks or chains or something, right? Well, most people in their right minds DON'T WEAR THOSE!!! How many other people you know that wear them, for god's sake???

because people are nosy and usually if it isnt in there sense of style they make fun of you and it totally makes me mad bc they judge you by what you wear and they totally need to get over themselves!!!
