Are overweight girls really a problem for heterosexual men?

this has sort of been a semi-debate for years. wanted to see what you people think. In reality, you see good looking men or average or unattractive men with overweight women everyday and yet the general consensus is that overweight women are less attractive to men. Is this true? or just another false societal standard??

to ms j: this was a hypothetical question to gather opinions. i don't have a problem with overweight women, especially seein as i'm gay. this goes for anyone else answering the question as well- there's no need to target me. just tell me what u think.

To me it just seems like a lot of men think they are too good or something for overweight women. I think it really depends. A lot of men can be really shallow, but that's a stereotype, too. But then again, it really is inner beauty that counts. But then again again (lol), men like to have a pretty girl to "show off". I definately don't agree to use girls as trophies, but it seems like something a lot of men do. Maybe the world is finally coming to the conclusion that, just maybe, everyone is really a normal person on the inside, if not the best looking to most on the outside.

I'm short and plump with a "cute" rather than pretty face, and have never had trouble attracting men. My husband is very good-looking with a great body, and previous boyfriends have ranged from sort of cute to sickeningly handsome.

Then again, a few years ago I put on a lot of weight and became an utter lard-bucket, and nobody looked twice at me (not even men who were fat and ugly) - I looked revolting and felt it. The fat hid my natural body shape which is very curvy and busty, and my face lost its cuteness.

No problem with overweight - big problems with morbid obesity.

I was a slender person for most of my life and had a lot of attention. Recently I gained a substantial amount of weight, about 100 lbs. It seems to be the only person who notices the weight and worries about it is me. All the guys who really liked me say, you're all right! Men need somthing to hold onto. Girl needs some meat on her bones. Frankly, Since these were men who already knew me, I don't think they even see the lbs. What's the name of that movie with Jack Black? He only sees her as an attractive young slender thing because beauty comes from with-in. Go figure!

The good looking girls will only have sex with you or go out with you if you have lots money or hung like a donkey.The average women or overweight girls put out like they aint never gonna get it again so what the hell does that tell ya.I have found that the goodlooking girls are just rude and think alot of time that they're all it but in truth a black heart just makes you ugly anyways.

u must only be looking at the outside of people. Because skinny or overweight does not change who a person really is. I would suggest u start getting to know a person first before judging them.

I know that at first one notices someone based on thier looks, its not like you can SEE one's personality...but given the opportunity to TALk to someone, it can be quite easy to not notice the physical features as much as how cool of a person they are. Im a girl, but I know that if im hanging witha bunch of people and start up conversation with an overwieght guy, but I enjoy talking to him, I have become attracted to him 'after the fact'. I didnt think he was hot and started talking to him...I was talking to him and found him hot for who he was...

Personally I prefer larger women. Being a big guy myslef, I feel that a smaller woman would seriously be injured during acts of intimacy.

There are really lovely voluptuous women. Many classical painters used this kind of women as models in their paintings. Marilyn Monroe was not skinny, she was fleshy and sexy. In other cultures, skinny women are seen as ugly, sick and unfeminine.
It is so sad that many shallow men think as women as trophies, not as human beings. Also, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I recommend you watch the German movie Zuckerbaby (1985). It is about a handsome man married with a pretty skinny wife who falls in love with a fat, sexy, and lovely woman.
