Yes I can imagine, muthapopcorn61, and I'm sure Doug Adams is out there among the galaxies picking up hitchhikers as we speak!

Melissa, you really should have read the whole question before you posted your answer. You never would have said that if you had.

Diogenes19348, I'm checking it out now.

Juvenile my grandson also has dreams like yours but he's not alone in them. I hear him talking to friends and laughing with joy and when he wakes he tells me over breakfast what he did while he was sleeping. It's a good thing I know exactly where his body is at night, so real does he make it sound.

I don't know but when i go to bed i thinking of flying and then I am there! Into the trees to the sky, through the valleys. Like the birds. I'm free. No one to talk to. Just me and my higher power. my arms out like a plane. Like a rocket propelled person flying high and fast. As fast as I want to go. Any place my mind want to take me. I am happy. But it is just a dream and I am so glad I can go there anytime I want. That is in my dreams. I have see the world or what I believe is all the good places of the world. I like flying through the Mt. the most. All alone, just me It's so calm and still like slow motion, maybe I could say time stops. But then I wake and my real world is back. I am a care taker of other.

Well, when I was 2, I had watched the old Superman's (with George Reeves I think) and I tried to fly by jumping off the arm of an old couch in my house. (It isn't high now, but at 2 that thing looked pretty tall.) It didn't work but I did pull off a somewhat graceful nose-dive into the coffee table. I still have a scar on my nose from that! :)

Are you familiar with "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"?
I read the books some decades ago, and I heard a rumor there's a movie out now.
"IF"
Interstellar truck drivers?
Hypergalactic CB radios?
"Hey there, Driver! I'm trying to catch a ride to Zolton 12-33. Can you help me out with a ride?"
Imagine!

I was a little boy and thought I could fly with a pillow case for a cape. I went into the back yard, got on top of the huge dog house, looked down at my dog, and leaped off with my arms spread wide. Not only didn't I fly, but if dogs could laugh, mine was laughing his a ss off.

I used to stand on my porch when I was 5 or 6 and jump with I think it was a sheet tied around my neck. I tried flapping the sheet like wings somehow I thought this might work. I can't really remember what inspired me to do this
