Book a hotel room with a sea view.
Visit the citadel.
Visit the Montazah palace. You can rent a cabin at the sea. and have a walk in the gardens. There are also places to eat.
Visit the Alexandria Bibliotica.
Spend a day at the beach.
Rent a small boat (felluka).
Find a resturant right by the sea to eat fish.
Take a walk in the old streets and suburbs.

definatly Luxor in case you want to experience like you genuinely went on a vacation. Cairo and Alexandria are cities, with human beings, jobs, and distinct honking horns. Luxor has each of the heritage out of the three. in case you want beaches and what no longer that is Alexandria, or the Northern Coast. pass to luxor :)

Hiiiii,,, ofcourse i did, this was my first trip & it was greater,,, ohh my god i like very much egypt... there is a lot of places to go & visit,,, people so kind & frendly... well i was for 1 month & it wasn;'t enough for me,,, but depends in my case i have a lot of egyptian friends so i don't know about you... but i guess you will have a good vacations too... so let me know about it, alright? bye......

be sure to check out the Library of Alexandria. its beautiful, inside and out. the architecture is simply BREATHTAKING not to mention the impressive collection of books, and the entire history behind it...
