Is there a place, or way, to get FREE ringtones or ringback tones?

i have a verizon phone

If you can connect your phone to your computer, you can make your own using a couple of programs called Audacity and Bitpim. Check out howardforums.com for more info.

be careful though, its copyright infringement if you upload a song that you don't own.
Also, you have to edit the clip to make it shorter on your computer before you upload it to your phone
