Yes, it is one of the best movies of all time, but i would have to say Gone With The Wind is 1 step a head of The Wizard of Oz! I think it would come in 2nd. place for sure!!

No, that would be Predator!
(Wizard of Oz is still a favourite of mine though, closely followed by Charlie and The Chocolate Factory...the original of course!)

My heavens, I by no ability have been flashed, yet I did accidentally flash some persons as quickly as. i became interior the wellbeing center a while back and desperate to take a stoll to the merchandising section. properly, I wasn't questioning approximately what i became wearing and, enable's merely say that those wellbeing center robes do not circulate away lots to the mind's eye on the backside. The nurse got here up from in the back of me and placed a blanket over my shoulders . . . i became questioning why it became slightly drafty back there!

Hardly. Juvenile, one-sided, plot line is obvious.
Weak character development, polarizing treatment of good and evil, veiled drug references in appropriate (ever wonder why they go to sleep in poppy fields?)
Better movies in similar genre include The Princess Bride, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Princess Mononoke (admittedly, a bit far afield from the genre but still a "children's film")
But the songs really save "Wizard" and redeem it, in my opinion.

I would go with "Lawrence of Arabia" for my best pick. Oz is now out dated to a fanatical point. I was my fave, then I got a life and grew up.

I think so. I've loved it since I was a little girl, and to this day, I am in awe when I watch this movie.
The story is good, the effects are good, the scenery is breath-taking!
I never get sick of watching this.

It's a very good movie, but "The Silence of the Lambs" is the best movie ever.

It Creeps me out! Espically that scene where you can see a munchin hang himself. I'm pretty sure you heard of this. This little guy was one the extras and he was very depressed, so he hangs himself on the scene when Dorothy and the crew frolic off down the yellow-brick road...very creepy!!!

No, that would be Ghostbusters.
If you just started rocking out to the ghostbusters theme as you read my answer, you have just proved my point.
And don't think of the Staypuff Marshmallowman.
