Being able to communicate at every level. Doing it with sincerity and interest without looking or sounding condescending, now that is important. Many people make an attempt to communicate with other people, but some just are not able to do this. It takes a certain skill, but more importantly it takes honest appreciation and sincere interest to make it work.

I think that my best people skill is that I can talk to just about anyone (if they're willing to talk, that is). I work with the public and have for years. I know some people who are very socially backward, and they say it is the best ability to have.

My job requires that I have fairly decent people skills. I've been told that I put people at ease and that I'm a good listener.

Well, I'm good at listening, telling stories and making people laugh by saying absurd things. I also know how to put the fear of god into people. Desperation is the best form of motivation, as my wife is fond of saying.

No and I have no patience for stupid people or people with no common sense. In fact, I got in trouble today because an assistant went to my boss and said I always talk to her/make her feel like she's an idiot. I'm just tired of babysitting adults!! That's not my job!!

I am known for my ability to get along with almost anyone. In fact I have had jobs where I was asked to work with individuals that no one else could get along with. We ended up friends. It's just in my nature, I'm easy to get along with, friendly, out going and understanding. But I'll be the first to admit that when I get angry, it's best to leave me alone.
