The most pressing issue in 2020 will be the same as today's most pressing issue: the economy. Since (forgive me) money makes the world go round, the economy will be at the base of most major national and world issues. The cost of oil, over-population and homelessness are just a few of the problems that will see a growing trend over the next few years. These are all rooted with the global economy. As the economy declines, so will our quality of life.

It's a toss up between the lack of oil, or the over-abundance of islamic terrorists and our governments hesitation to really do anything about either one of them.
