If you don't get a lawyer when she has one, you will probably end up questioning whether she got the better of you for a long time. So consult a few attorneys - initial consultations are typically free. They will give you an idea if her offer is a good one or not.

When you find one that you feel is honest and ethical (I know, they're lawyers, but there are some who aren't total slimeballs), retain his/her services if you can afford them. It's better to have someone on your side that knows the procedures and laws than to try flying blind.

Good Luck!

Get a lawyer! It sounds like you and your wife have property and some money. You need to make sure that you get YOUR half. Heck, she may have a nest egg hidden away, and you would never know it because she handles all the money. A lawyer will make her show what you two, do have. Good luck.

put the kids first in this time of uncertainity, they will need more understanding and love then what can come out of a divorce, it sounds like your wife for whatever reason is unhappy and wants out. In ohio shell get the house and the kids unless you can prove her a drug addict or unfit mother and you will end up paying child support, you dont necessarily need an attorney if you dont dispute what she is giving you, but remember look out for the kids because if you dont the courts will. A divorce sucks big time and hurts like hell especially if you dont want it but time heals all good luck

It's up to you but if she has always taken care of the money situation then she has been thinking about giving you as little as possible cuz she knows what you guys have and you have no clue. If you can afford an attorney I would go get some advice

Grant her the divorce...no sense holding her into a marriage when she's not happy. Get a lawyer...with her asking for the divorce and it sounds as if she's financially stable, your lawyer may be able to get her to pay for his fees.

get a lawyer. if she is willing to give you all that there has to be a good reason ( another man) and wants this thing over quick. you may get more with a lawyer.
