Anytime I plug in my printer or Ipod or anything a bubble pops up and says unreconizable device. With my I pod it will charge it, but not read it, so I know there is power coming to them. My friend and I built this computer and think I my need to reload windows xp prof. Please tell me what u think. Thank You

try uninstalling the USB software and re-installing it. Also, u may want to buy a PCI USB card and use that.

Check to see if the drivers are installed correctly, if they are not, a really good FREE site to download the drivers from is modem-drivers.com. If you do have the correct drivers installed, than your usb port could have shorted out when you plugged something in.

You can try troubleshooting the USB devices through Add/Remove hardware. Reinstall and update drivers.

when you start your computer are the devices pluged in and try to install new hardware and it will run a search

i used to have that problem i got it fixed but i 4got how i think u go to system properties and device manager it should be there if not i dunno hope it helps
