Teens feel a need to "rebel" and peer pressure gives them the need to "fit in". It's all part of maturing, and searching for one's identity. While grown-ups mostly look at this behavior as weird and strange, with proper nuturing and roll models, this condition doesn't have to be permanent. (Thank Goodness!)

there is some that are just trying to fit in but my little brother dresses skaterish and he can skate and do tricks! Gothics are humans to they just dress and act different, you are just being a Hippocratic and it is sick just let them be who they are at least there not killing people to fit in!

If you dont like that look dont worry about it. leave the worryin 2 us. I dont think anyone cares if you think its lame its what we like. And most peopl dont "try" its how they are. So worry about somthing important no people style cause thats a really stupid thing 2 worry about.

it's a fad, my daughter went from goth to emo, now she is back to a state of "normality" until the next "thing".... *sigh* As long as she is kind, caring, honest, drug/sex free and keeps those A's coming at school, it's fine by me

they are just trying to fit in. i look down on those skate punks and goths because all of the one that i know are FREAKS!!! the guys around where i live all wear Girls pants! it scares me!
