No, but I would suggest going to the doctor to see about regulating your period. Birth control pills can help get you on a schedule.

Tampons don't appear to be the culprit in this case. I would suggest that you see a gynecologist to discuss the changes in your menstrual cycle. It could be due to changes in hormones. As a teenager, your body is going through many changes. Surely, these changes can possibly result in changes in your menstrual cycle. Tampons are not a bad thing; however, their are more risks involved with tampons as opposed to pads. Almost all tampon boxes have a set of instructions and most will disclose the risks upfront. It is extremely important to change them regularly to prevent something called Toxic Shock Syndrome. Also, changing them regularly will prevent the buildup of bacterial growth. Whether you use tampons or pads, I would suggest that you choose whichever is most comfortable for you. If you truly feel that the tampons are aggravating your body, then I would suggest trying to go strictly with the pads for a while and see if your periods are still irregular. Irregular periods are more common in someone who is in their teens and less common as you get a bit older. You may need to see a doctor for a checkup just to make sure that nothing else may be wrong.

That is truly a question that can only be answered safely by your gynecololgist. If you were my daughter, I would first have you try using regular absorbency tampons during the day, and super absorbency during the evening. The most important thing to remember when using tampons, is to change them frequently. Toxic Shock Syndrome can still occur at any age. As for the frequency of your periods, there is medications that can help with that, and with the intensity of it. Please check with your physician, instead of posting questions, on places like this. That way, you'll know you are getting sound advice. Have a safe fourth!

Shouldn't be harmful, but if you keep cramping so bad try another brand of tampon... a diferent size or shape. That might help. If the cramping is really sever without a tampon, see your doctor... there may be help for that.
Do NOT leave them in for more than a few hours at a time without changing them though... whether you need to or not! If you forget or leave them in too long at a stretch you can get not only a nasty infection, but one that can cause toxic shock syndrome.

I haven't heard good things about tampons. I was hearing from my cousins friend that there can be some things in the tampons that can really mess with you body. Use pads. And you should see your doctor about the two times a month thing I haven't heard of that you doctor will be able to suggest something to help.

Tampons aren't bad if you change them often throughout the day. Check with your doctor because there may be some medicine he can suggest to you and your Mom to regulate you. Who wants to have a period twice per month! And don't go more then 2 months w/out a period.

I don't think it can be harmful in any way, just be sure to change about every 2 hours. You skip a few months? That sounds kinda weird, and most women have one a month. You should go to a doctor and ask about that, and just to be safe, ask if it's okay for you to use tampons.

The tampons aren't causing you the problems, nor sare they harmful in this situation. The best thing to do would be to go see a gynocologist. I know, they suck to have to see(no offense!) but they're best in this situation. She or he might prescribe birth control to help alleviate the cramps as well as regulate your period so you have one period, once a month.
Personally, I prefer tampons because I just feel cleaner. Just my opinion, which is worth what you paid for it. I say use whatever you feel more comfortable using.

No it is not harmful to use them correctly. You do need to give ur body a break and use pads to make sure you reduce the chance of Toxic Schock Syndrome. Only wear the tampons when you really need too to be on the safe side.

It is not harmful to use tampons providing you use them according to the directions given. They are much more comfortable and pads are so "noticeable". You should see a gynaecologist to see what can be done to regulate your periods. As for the cramps, I have suffered from cramping for years because of endometriosis and fibroids. I got help from my doctor and now am pain free.

I don't understand why your periods are gonna be screwed up. The fact that I'm a guy may have something to do with it, but I always thought periods were a natural thing in women's lives.
