No freedom is not power. Knowledge is power, and it can lead to freedom.

hmm.. I think this is an awesome question. I think freedom can give us some power, however, when we abuse or "freedoms" we have just let our freedom slip away. So many people in this world confuse freedom with a right. We have the freedom to do this and taht, but is it a right... or a privilage? A perfect example is paparazzi. They feel they have a right to photograph stars.. because they are "press". Well, I highly doubt our forfathers were thinking stars' privacy was going to be invaded when they made that one of our basic freedoms. Things can go to far when our freedoms are abused.

The concept of freedom is so wide and that's why it s so hard to answer to such a question and still have arguments to sustain the answer.
If freedom is defined as the lack of restraints, then the human condition cannot attend to it unless it has a metaphysical/transcedental meaning.
As a material being, a human as we are, we are restrained to basic physical laws which excludes us from reaching freedom in this material life.
As a metaphysical concept, freedom is viewed closer to the concept of absoluteness, which is defined only by the property of existance. Absolute exists, it does not do anything for it would lose itself as concept in the moment of an action by excluding the possibility of any other action. So, as a man we cannot reach to this form of existance in this material life where we are subdued, coerced or restrained by ourselves or others.
In the common sense of freedom, we can be free and we can consider it power because it gives us the possibility to manifest in the outer limits of our given characteristics (native or learned), and power in its true essence is the possibility to manifest our will. We are empowered by our freedom to manifest our desires by creating a unrestrained will.

YES!!
I was powerless during the time I surrendered to everything else that didn't come from myself
money, love, friendship, (did I mention love), affection, attention, self esteem, all those things that I use to get from others
when I found the source inside me, I never felt the frustration again of being disappointed
I stopped being powerless when I got freedom. Now I can do anything
