I have decided to convert from Islam to Christian , and i am wondering if its legal to do so in Syria , and what is the best way to do it , family and friends said that i better do this prossedure outside Syria to avoide any trouble with the government ?

First of all, God bless you - it takes a lot of courage to convert in a country like Syria. For information about converting, I would try and get in contact with a local group of Christians. While missionaries are not officially allowed, there is a small Christian minority in your country.

Converting from Islam, or even questioning Islam, is like instantly becoming an Infidel.
Just that statement should make any thinking person run from Islam as far as one can. More power to you, but you'll be hugely on the outside of society if you stay in an Islamic country.
I've read The Koran. No wonder those people are so pissed off... their only source of inspiration is nothing but "kill whitey"

Welcome to the civilized world.
Syria may be one of the safest places in the Muslim world to do this; if you don't threaten Bashir al-Assad, he'll probably ignore you and he won't let the likes of the Taliban run loose (because they DO threaten him). But if you can emigrate to Europe and hook up with a Christian expatriate community there, you'll be even better off.

You can do it in Syria government or people have no problem at all with such act. people there will feel sorry for your intellectual capacity

that's pretty heavy stuff. why wouldn't it be legal? thing is...i don't think there is even a process to doing that.
i mean, its not even HEARD of to convert from islam..to anything! so...i would be very careful handling this.

From what i understand, Muslim countries frown upon this, so its best to do it OUTSIDE of Syria...........

Go to Israel and convert to Judaism instead.
