There are tons of pros and cons to moving to two different places. If they are in the same country though you should be fine. You will get to learn some new regional slang make new friends and some of the emberassing moments you had in your old place you can forget about in your new place. You can make new friends as well, its good to move sometimes if its for the right reasons.
