there are 2 options

1:you could reboot the computer and clear all files that are software

or
2:do a file search on the game and try to find it

if you're sure that there aren't any game files in program files, or My documents, then the next place to look is the registry. BE CAREFUL, editting the registry is dangerous and can completely hose your windows installation. It is allways a good idea to create a restore point before mucking around in the registry.

if you're feeling brave enough, run regedit.exe and search for the name of the game or the company that made the game and remove those keys from the registry. Good luck

If those awnsers dont help you can try searching the registery for left over registery keys that need to be deleted if the game is no longer on the system alot of times it will save old registery keys and not let you install the game till those are deleted. Be carefull in your registery though you dont want to delete the wrong thing.

Check in add/remove and see if it's listed there. Click start, control panel, add/remove.
Also look in windows explorer, click start, all programs, accessories, windows explorer.
