Since I have to live with myself and know what is going on in my own thoughts, I do believe it would be rather ridiculous to try and pretend that I am something I am not. My perceptions of myself are who I am and who I am becoming, My real self is who I am. I can't pretend to be something/someone else. Who would I be fooling?

It's so strange. You have this thought about yourself of how you look or act and then you find out (by your own revelation) that you weren't like you thought you were at all. Then, you feel like an idiot every time you think of how you looked and acted that day and all the people who you were in contact with had the same opinion!!!

Many people derive personal and professional satisfaction from misleading others. This social interaction can be begin with parenting. Its re-inforced by fear. The child who "misbehaves" is subject to some degree of conditioning to stop "misbehaving." Therefore the child is required to question one's self. I'm suggesting that you're OK, as long as you follow the basics: don't litter, don't drink/drive, don't murder, etc. ... The infraction is as important as an offence.
